TheKershaw Craze 8337 folding knife is a lightweight and compact EDC (Every Day Carry) folder, which is additionally equipped with a bottle opener located on the back of the handle. The Craze knife will be an excellent choice for those looking for a sturdy and durable knife for outdoor and everyday use.
The blade, which has a Reverse Tanto profile and a length of 60 mm, is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel. This steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6. The 8Cr13MoV steel blade will be great for everyday use due to its resistance to corrosion, good sharpness retention and ease of sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is completely sufficient. The head is coated with BlackWash™, protecting it from minor scratches during use.
The knife opens with a thumb stud on both sides. A double-sided DuraLock, similar to the more widely known Axis Lock, protects against locking. The system uses an omega-type spring and is considered very secure. The lock is conveniently operated with the thumb.
The liners in the knife were created from fiberglass-reinforced nylon, which were attached to steel reinforcing inserts (called liners). The contoured shape of the grip and the fine texture make this small knife fit securely in the hand and comfortable for everyday use.
In the back of the handle is located a cap opener, which will make it easier to open bottles of drinks, for example, while camping by the campfire. On top of that, the knife has a Deep Carry clip that allows you to carry the knife safely and discreetly in your pants pocket.
